Dear Colleague,

The World Gastroenterology Organisation is holding the World Congress of Gastroenterology this year from September 19-22 in Melbourne in conjunction with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia's annual "Australian Gastroenterology Week" (WCOG@AGW25).

I am really excited with the scientific program which I hope you have seen at: WCOG@AGW25. 

The latest advances in research alongside new diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, will all be covered by global experts, with up to 7 concurrent sessions in parallel over a comprehensive four-day program. 

There will also be multiple opportunities to connect with colleagues from across the world in social events which should facilitate collaborative research and the building of lasting relationships.

With early bird registration closing on June 30, now is the time to make the decision to come!

The Congress will be held in the State-of-the-Art Melbourne convention centre, situated in the heart of the city.

A short walk away is the Sports precinct, containing the tennis centre, home of the Australian Open Tennis as well as the MCG, the home of Australian cricket and also Australian Rules football.

A few steps away is the Arts precinct with its multiple theatres and galleries and the world famous Royal Botanic Gardens plus hundreds of vibrant restaurants and cafes all of which have led to Melbourne being voted "the world's most liveable city" on multiple occasions!

A short drive away are vineyards, offering wine tastings and delicious food, stunning surf beaches and the spectacular Great Ocean Road. 

Early spring is mild, optimising comfortable travel before the heat of summer arrives providing the perfect opportunity to attend an outstanding Congress and also enjoy some of the hospitality and superb surroundings that Australia offers.
